OUR MISSION AND VISION Our mission is to encourage believers to impact their communities through Christian reading, service opportunities, and the participation in Fellowship Groups. Our vision is to establish Fellowship Groups nationally and provide support for local church outreach programs. East Coast operations will begin mid-2009 from our newest location in Frederick, MD. WHO WE ARE Fellowship Seekers is a non-denominational Christian organization. The director of Fellowship Seekers is David Miner, of Frederick, Maryland, who holds a Bachelor's Degree in Biblical Studies, a Master’s Degree in Organizational Management, and has over a decade of combined experience in local church ministry and missionary outreach. Fellowship Seekers has also established a reading ministry blog known as Higher Ground Readers Review which highlights recommended reading selections; and also a new weekly blog, Fellowship Seekers-E-Readers Review which includes book suggestions also available in electronic form. You can join Fellowship Seekers group on Facebook. We regularly post many topics of interest to fellowship members and Christians alike. The reading ministry is managed by Joyce Miner, formerly of Washington, who has more than a decade of combined experience in formal Bible education, Christian Book Store management, and local church ministry. Joyce currently resides in El Paso, Texas with her Husband David. WHAT WE DO (Spin-off groups) Fellowship Seekers strives to reach local communities for Christ through the establishment of Fellowship Groups and promotion of Christian reading materials. We encourage Believers to find creative ways to make connections with others in their communities. We provide a framework which consists of group startup packages, suggested group study materials, reading programs, leadership packages, and new ideas to help establish and support groups. Higher Ground recommends books and other materials through the design of a virtual bookstore and library which provides links to reputable websites that sell the materials we recommend. WHY WE DO IT (Core Group) Fellowship Seekers exists for people to know God, know each other, and grow together in a relationship with Jesus Christ. Fellowship Seekers emphasizes small groups and reading ministries to promote the biblical concepts of evangelism, discipleship and biblical studies. Our goal is to equip new and long-time believers with the necessary tools to effectively reach their communities for Christ. We place a high priority on promoting the continued circulation of books from great authors of our faith. Our reading ministry differs from others by promoting the sale of books based solely upon their ministry impact not upon a publisher's sales quotas. HOW WE PAY OUR BILLS We use the database and inventory of two reputable book suppliers; Christianbooks.com, and Amazon.com. When you follow a link from our website, and make a purchase; Fellowship Seekers receives a commission. |

| Our History In early 2008, a small group of people began meeting in the homes of their local community in Bridgeport, WA. The Group began meeting for the purpose of fellowship and Bible study, while also incorporating other shared interests. The excitement of this first group began the inspiration that later formed the ministry of Fellowship Seekers in January of 2009. In October 2009 Fellowship groups begin to met in Frederick, Maryland. As Fellowship Groups continue to reach into our local communities, it is our desire to share them with others across this country. |
